Terms of Service

Last updated: May 5, 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Jordan Burnham-Bialik, an individual based in Massachusetts who operates Wheelhouse (“Wheelhouse,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Wheelhouse.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Wheelhouse. By using the service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Your account

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Tell us immediately at hello@wheelhousecareers.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. What Wheelhouse does

Wheelhouse helps you build a structured Experience Bank of your career and use it to produce tailored job application materials. Steps in the application flow include analyzing a job posting, running a guided interview, generating a fit assessment and application materials, and exporting them as PDF or DOCX.

The product is provided as it currently exists. Features can change. Some features may go away or evolve. We will give reasonable notice before retiring anything you depend on.

5. Your content

You own everything you put into Wheelhouse, including your Experience Bank entries, uploaded files, interview answers, and generated application materials.

By using the service, you grant Wheelhouse a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, transmit, and process your content as needed to operate the product for you. This license exists so we can do things like store your Experience Bank, send relevant excerpts to AI providers to generate drafts, render PDFs and DOCX files, and back up your data. The license ends when you delete the content or your account, except to the extent we are required by law to retain records.

We do not use your content to train AI models or sell it to third parties.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Wheelhouse to apply for jobs on behalf of someone else without their permission, or to impersonate anyone.
  • Submit information you know to be false, misleading, or fabricated about your background, credentials, or experience.
  • Use the service to harass, defame, or harm others, or to violate any law.
  • Attempt to break, probe, or reverse-engineer the service, or interfere with how it works for others.
  • Scrape, resell, or build a competing product from Wheelhouse, its outputs, or its data.
  • Upload content that infringes intellectual property, contains malware, or that you do not have the right to share.
  • Use the service to generate content that is unlawful, discriminatory, sexual, or otherwise abusive.

7. AI output: read this carefully

Wheelhouse uses large language models to draft application materials based on what you tell us. AI is good at this and also wrong sometimes. Output may contain inaccuracies, omissions, outdated information, or phrasing that does not represent you well.

You are responsible for reviewing every piece of generated content before sending it to a real employer. Treat it as a strong first draft from a thoughtful collaborator, not as a finished submission. If something is wrong, edit it.

We do not guarantee that using Wheelhouse will result in interviews, offers, or any specific employment outcome. Hiring decisions are made by employers based on many factors outside our control.

8. Payments and credits

How pricing works

Your first complete application is free. After that, each application uses one credit. Credits are bought in packs through Stripe, do not expire, and can be used at your own pace. The current credit pack prices are listed on our Pricing page. We may change prices for new purchases at any time. Any credits you have already purchased will continue to work at the rate they were purchased at.

Refunds

Credits are prepaid digital goods. Once a credit is purchased it is non-refundable, except where required by law. If something goes wrong on our side and a credit is consumed without delivering a usable application, email us and we will make it right (typically by restoring the credit).

Taxes

Prices do not include taxes. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase under your local law.

9. Termination

You can stop using Wheelhouse and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, that pose a security or abuse risk, or that we are required to suspend by law. If we terminate without cause, we will refund the unused balance of any credits you bought.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, governing law, and similar) survive.

10. Our intellectual property

Wheelhouse, including the software, design, branding, logos, and written copy on the site, is owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding. Do not copy, reproduce, or distribute our materials without written permission.

11. Third-party services

Wheelhouse depends on third-party services, including Vercel, Supabase, the Vercel AI Gateway and the AI providers it routes to, Deepgram, Stripe, PostHog, and Sentry. The full list and what each one does is in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of those providers, beyond our own choices about which providers to use and how to configure them.

12. Disclaimers

Wheelhouse is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy of AI output, uninterrupted availability, or freedom from errors. Your use of the service is at your own risk.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wheelhouse and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, or job opportunities not obtained, arising from or relating to your use of the service.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars (USD 100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you in full. In that case, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Wheelhouse and its operator harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your content, your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of anyone else’s rights.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. You and Wheelhouse agree that the state and federal courts located in Suffolk County, Massachusetts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the service, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

Before filing a claim, you agree to first email us at hello@wheelhousecareers.com to try to resolve the issue informally. We will do the same with you.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. For material changes, we will give you reasonable advance notice in the product or by email. Continuing to use Wheelhouse after a change takes effect means you accept the new Terms.
